I was an avid runner for more than 25 years, and although I no longer run, I still enjoy walking and cross-country skiing, as well as tai chi, kayaking, bird-watching, gardening, and snowshoeing – and, of course, reading.

Accomplishments of which I am proud, but still somewhat perplexed regarding my motivations:
I completed the Twin Cities Marathon in 1992 and the Boston Marathon in 1993.
I completed 10 American Birkebeiner 55K ski marathons between 1978 and 1992.
