I grew up on a farm in Ohio, then lived on Mid Lake in northern Wisconsin for almost twenty-five years.
I worked on the Lac du Flambeau Ojibwe reservation for fourteen years before moving to St. John’s, Newfoundland in 2004, where I lived with my partner and three cats.
All of us – cats included – moved to Lakefield, Ontario in April 2015. We now live on the Otonabee River in a house previously occupied, for nearly thirty-five years, by Joan Johnston, one of Margaret Laurence’s closest friends. I am hoping for inspiration.
I have two wonderful, talented daughters, one in North Carolina, the other in Florida.
Happy Birthday tomorrow! Hope you have a great day!
